Dream Reflection Dialogue is when we have the opportunity to manage ourselves back into the process of synthesizing
the themes of the stories of the dreams, looking at the wider context to which the dreams and associations are
speaking, using material from all the Matrices we have experienced.

Dialogue is to find the truth of statements without recourse to conflict or argument David Bohm was the first to advocate Dialogue as a method of arriving at the truth. Successful Dialogue hinges on clearing out thinking assumptions to arrive at what a statement means. Through Dialogue people see the incoherence and incongruence of thought. As Dialogue proceeds the participants start to lose their defences and cease to protect their self-image. Their minds open to something different. ‘That difference can be something of creative significance, even of cosmic significance – possibly contact with something beyond just thee culture and the society’ ( Bohm, D. 1992, Thought as a System, London: Routledge). Bohm is suggesting that the infinite can be recognized through Dialogue.

The DRD takes place in a small group in which both consciousness and unconscious thinking through dreams are accessed and the participants have an opportunity to further amplify and associate to the themes of the matrix material. This will lead to the ‘Matrix’ becoming a container for a “multiverse” of meanings in distinction to a ‘group’ in which meaning belongs to a universe of meaning.

The DRD identifies the dreams and themes of the SDM, looks for the pattern that connects them and formulates working hypotheses on the state of being of the system under study.

The primary task of Dream Reflection Dialogue is

To share thoughts, feeling or emotions that is evoked by social dreaming matrix and to make a synthesis of the state of being of the system, with its dilemmas and puzzles, using the evidence of the dreams of the Matrix to intuit the state of emergence of the system.
