The use of dreaming as a means of understanding and developing organizational knowledge and intelligence was originated in 1982 at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations, London. Dr. Gordon Lawrence has been working to understand and work with systemic processes and dynamics that foster efficiency, productivity and the release of creative energy.
The Social Dreaming phenomena was informed and developed by concepts drawn from anthropological and psychoanalytic texts.
Since then programmes have been held in Sweden, Finland, Holland, Germany, France, Italy, USA, Poland, Australia, India, UK and Ireland.
The Social Dreaming Limited is a company limited by guarantee , resgistered in Engalnd and is not for profit making organization. The main objectives of the company are:
1 To educate participants in the discipline of Social Dreaming in all domains of work and living
2 To research the phenomenon of Social Dreaming
3 The development of specific programmes for use in systems, organizations, and with community groups.
4. To publish the results of studies using Social Dreaming. |
